President of CNY youth soccer club charged with stealing over $50,000 from organization
Cicero, N.Y. – A president and coach of a Central New York youth soccer club has been charged with stealing over $50,000 from the group, troopers said. Paul R. Palucci, 36, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with second-degree grand larceny and first-degree falsifying business records after allegedly using his soccer club’s accounts for fraudulent charges, according to a news release from State Police.

New York’s “good cause” eviction law, passed in the latest state budget, allows upstate communities to opt in to restrictions on landlords, preventing them from evicting certain tenants without legitimate cause and from and from making predatory rent hikes. Albany was the first city to opt in in June. The Kingston Common Council opted in with a unanimous 9-0 vote, following a tense public comment period that stretched over three hours.

City of Cortland Announces Street Milling/Paving Projects – To Begins July 15th
It will be a busy roadworks season for the City of Cortland Department of Public Works as the list of streets to be milled and paved this summer have been announced. In total, 11 streets within the City of Cortland will be milled and paved; two streets will also have new granite curbing installed and one will have gas lines replaced prior to paving.
