Green & Tonic announces Stamford location
Green & Tonic – the plant-based eatery with locations in Chappaqua, Rye Brook, the Cos Cob section of Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan and Westport – will open in Stamford this August, the first of three new locations to come from the brand. A revamped medical/surgical unit for Phelps
Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, part of the Northwell Health system, has unveiled an $8.8 million renovation of its fifth floor medical/surgical unit, which has been transformed into a state-of-the-art space with new walls, finishes, furniture and equipment. This upgrade, which took about a year, is part of the hospital’s ongoing initiative to modernize and enhance patient experience by creating an atmosphere that is welcoming, nurturing and comforting.
‘Squeeze’ in a massage your own way at this new Westport spot
Squeeze is expanding its massage services with the opening of its first Connecticut shop – in Westport – on Friday, June 28. Located on Westport Row — a haven for fitness lovers, with its workout studios, shops and food and drink offerings – the latest Squeeze is a 1,838 square-foot space with six treatment rooms for the brand’s signature personalized service, created by Drybar founders Alli Webb and Brittany Driscoll.
Education secretary among those at BOCES’ iPark groundbreaking
U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona was among those attending the groundbreaking at iPark 87 in Kingston for a new 105,000 square foot Career & Technical Center that will be the new home for Ulster BOCES workforce training programs. New York State Commissioner of Education Betty Rosa, Rep. Pat Ryan, and Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger also were among the more than 100 government and community leaders who took part in the event.

SCOUTS EARN MONETARY REWARD FOR MAKING POSITIVE IMPACT
Girl Scouts of Connecticut (GSOFCT) recently recognized 34 exceptional Girl Scouts who earned the organization’s highest achievement at the annual Girl Scout Gold Awards Ceremony in Hartford. Five exceptional awardees received monetary scholarships totaling $10,000 for their positive community-enhancing projects. PSC approves $62.59M settlement with Central Hudson
The New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) has approved a $62.59 million settlement with Central Hudson Gas & Electric over its failed customer information and billing system that was used to collect money from Hudson Valley customers. In addition, the settlement would add up to $2 million more to the amount Central Hudson has to pay if the company fails to deliver monthly meter readings on schedule.
