    WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A search has been launched for a missing all-yellow parakeet from Westfield named Castor.

    The Westfield Animal Control and Shelter said Castor has been missing since Saturday from the Southgate Ave off of Southwick Road. If you know the whereabouts of Castor, call animal control at 413-564-3139 extension 1.

    A parakeet is any of numerous seed-eating parrots of small size, slender build, and long, tapering tail, according to Britannica . The most popular caged parakeet is the budgerigar or shell parakeet which has hundreds of color mutations from the green and yellow basic stock.
