Cannabis Association of New York to hold cornhole tournament Saturday: What to know
Fans of the backyard game cornhole will have a chance to showcase their skills in the High Toss Cornhole Tournament on Saturday. The tournament, hosted through a collaboration between the Cannabis Association of New York (CANY), the Broome County Urban League and Just Breathe Tomorrows, will be held at noon on Collier Street in downtown Binghamton. BAY RIDGE AND CONEY ISLAND — Maimonides’ Bay Ridge Emergency Department, in addition to getting a new state-of-the-art ambulance, will also celebrate its one-year anniversary next week with two events. The first, a 10:30 a.m. ceremony on Thursday, July 25, at the Emergency Department, 9036 Seventh Avenue, will recognize its one-year anniversary of serving Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and beyond at its Bay Ridge Emergency Department. Leaders from Maimonides and the wider community, among them City Councilmember Justin Brannan, State Sen. Iwen Chu and Assemblymember Alec Brook-Krazny, will thank the staff for an exceptional year, during which the Emergency Medicine team has achieved high patient experience, length of stay scores and average wait times of five minutes. Expected participants will be Dr. Eitan Dickman, chair of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Ahmed Rashed, medical director of Maimonides Bay Ridge Emergency Department and Tamar Motov, vice president of Nursing at Maimonides Bay Ridge Emergency Department. The evening segment will be a special ballgame at the namesake Maimonides Park next to the iconic Coney Island Boardwalk and Parachute Jump.
