    The Westhoff American Legion Post 369, Ladies Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion met on Monday, June 24 at 7 p.m. at St John Lutheran Church Parish Hall. Items discussed included future Legion hall rentals, future meeting dates, and historical information.

    Also, 129 flags were placed at four cemeteries in Westhoff for Memorial Day. There were six members who helped with this project.

    Patriotism awards were presented to two Westhoff School students, Carter Collins and Amy Gallaga, at the school commencement ceremony on May 23, 2024.

    Pastor Jan Putman has been working on a Facebook page for the Legion and his work is appreciated. Kristye Kahlich presented patriotic bags that will be distributed to homebound members for a Fourth of July project.

    It was noted that the Westhoff American Legion unit was founded in 1954 and Ladies Auxiliary was founded in 1955. There was discussion on ways to increase our membership. There were eight members present. The next meeting is scheduled for September 23, 2024 at The Legion post home. God bless America !!
