Cleveland International Film Festival calling for entries
The Cleveland International Film Festival is accepting submissions for CIFF49. Films at any runtime, genre or country that completed production after June 1, 2023, are eligible for submission. CIFF49 will be from March 26 to April 5, 2025, at Playhouse Square. In addition to screenings of the films, there will be talkbacks, community events, and patron and filmmaker gatherings. There will also be the distribution of awards, with more than $135,000 in cash prizes.
Cleveland Water discusses paths forward in relation to Brunswick's recent water main breaks
BRUNSWICK — The city is looking for long-term solutions regarding its water mains. Cleveland Water Director of Public Utilities Martin Keane spoke to city officials about the recent water main breaks on state Route 303 and the potential solutions during the Brunswick Committee-of-the-Whole meeting Monday. Cleveland Water owns the city’s water mains.
Strongsville and Cleveland Water to Investigate Cause of 11 Water Main Breaks and Gas Line Damage in City’s Northwest Corner
The city and the Cleveland Division of Water will look into why 11 water mains broke last week on Jonathan and Courtland Drives and Montclare Boulevard. That’s what City Service Director Joe Walker told Cleveland.com on Tuesday (July 23). The breaks occurred on July 16 at Strongsville’s northwest corner. “I’ve never seen so many breaks pop at one time like that,” Walker told the crowd.

Police charge Cleveland man who allegedly drove through red light, causing deadly accident
