The US Marshals found a suspect in a shooting in Ohio in an unusual place. He was captured while hiding from the law in St. Louis, Missouri. The US Marshals announced in a press release that 29-year-old Marcus Anderson was wanted by the Cleveland Metroparks Police Department for attempted murder from an incident that took place on June 22, 2024 in Garfield Heights, Ohio. He had remained at large until now. The found him hiding in the 2700 block of Utah Street in St Louis, Missouri.

Dump truck spills mystery load on Chester Road in Avon
Crews were working Wednesday afternoon to clean up a load of liquids and solids spilled by a dump truck on Chester Road in Avon. As of 5:30 p.m., a police dispatcher said crews were still cleaning up the road. What exactly the material was, wasn't immediately known, but it was both liquid and solids that had an odor to it, the dispatcher said. The road probably would need further cleaning after all the material was removed, the dispatcher said.

Ohio regulators: Marijuana sellers can't give out food from ice cream truck
AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Handing out food and drinks from an ice cream truck is off limits for marijuana businesses in Ohio, according to state regulators. So is an online promotion saying, “Can you take me higher?” Ohio’s Division of Cannabis Control has proposed fines totaling $212,000 against five businesses for violating the state’s advertising rules for marijuana sellers, the Akron Beacon Journal reported Thursday. Most of the fines involved promotions this summer ahead of the Aug. 6 beginning of recreational marijuana sales in the state. Some of the violations involved using signs that were too large or not approved by the state.
