On Aug. 31, Dispatch and the Boston Pops will conclude Tanglewood’s 2024 popular artist concert series. Chad Urmston, Brad Corrigan, and Pete Heimbold formed their Indie band Dispatch in the 90’s as they were attending Middlebury College in Vermont. The band is most known for their songs “The General” and “Band Bang.” After Graduating, they relocated to Boston to further the band’s influence. Man killed in Boston shooting, police say
A man was killed in a shooting in Boston Saturday night, according to police. Dorchester-based officers responded to 519 Washington St. for a report of a person short shortly before 10 p.m., Boston police said in a press release. They found the man at the scene with life-threatening gunshot wounds. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later declared dead.

White Eagle hosts 3rd annual Polish Festival in Worcester's Canal District
WORCESTER, Mass. — Hundreds turned out to the Canal District Saturday for the third annual Polish Festival. The festivities were hosted by the White Eagle. The bar became an established Polish club in 1937 in what they describe as a very Polish part of the city. The day, which is highlighted by traditional Polish cuisine, music and entertainment, is part of an effort to grow and celebrate the history of the Polish community throughout central Massachusetts.
Worcester looks to use remaining ARPA funds before end-of-year deadline
WORCESTER, Mass. — The city of Worcester has committed or spent around $100 million of the $146 million it received through the American Rescue Plan Act.
