Carmel man wanted in Minnesota arrested following DWI crash
CARMEL- A Carmel resident wanted in Minnesota in connection with a sexual assault was arrested Monday by Carmel Police following a hit and run crash in the county seat. Carmel Police said patrols responded to Route 6 and Stoneleigh Avenue at 10 pm and located a damaged Ford Escape with two occupants who advised the vehicle that caused the crash had fled the scene.

North Castle Landmarks Century-Old Barber Pole in Downtown Armonk
The North Castle Town Board voted to landmark a 100-year-old barber pole that stands outside a hair salon in downtown Armonk. Following a recommendation from the Landmarks Preservation Committee, the Town Board approved the designation for the pole in front of Manny’s Unisex Haircutting at 416 Main St. The request for landmark status came from the owners of the building, said Linda Fernberg, a Landmarks Preservation Committee member who addressed the board at its last meeting.

The state chief medical examiner’s office has ruled the death of a New Haven man a homicide by strangulation.
