Video: Suspected drunk boater crashes into sheriff patrol boat, seawall in Macomb County
ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. – Authorities have released video of a suspected drunk man crashing a boat into law enforcement and a seawall in Macomb County. The crash happened Friday, July 5, at about 7 p.m. at Jefferson Beach Marina in St. Clair Shores. Officials with the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office were conducting a minor marine violation stop involving a 17′ Wellcraft when their Patrol Boat was struck by a 30′ Sea Ray Cabin Cruiser. Both the Patrol Boat and the Wellcraft were docked near a seawall at the time of the collision.

Police: Motorcyclist, Fenton woman die in crash during illegal race
BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) - Police say a motorcycle race along Old U.S. 23 ended with a crash that killed a rider and a Fenton woman who was riding in a minivan. A Michigan State Police trooper saw the motorcycles pass him at a high rate of speed northbound on Old U.S. 23 near Loch Lomond Road in Brighton Township around 6:40 p.m. Sunday. Investigators believe they were racing.
Man accused of stealing gun, killing man during argument on Detroit’s west side
DETROIT – A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder after reportedly killing someone during an argument on Detroit’s west side. It happened near the intersection of Warwick Street and Vassar Drive at about 9 p.m on June 4. According to authorities, police arrived at the scene on reports of a shooting and found a man who had been shot multiple times in the street. The victim -- identified as 29-year-old Richard Shorts -- was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Man killed in early morning stabbing in Leoni Twp., suspect arrested
LEONI TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) - One person is dead after a stabbing in Jackson County early Monday. On July 8, just before 4 a.m., Blackman-Leoni officials said they were called out to the 3000 block on E. Michigan Avenue in Leoni Township for a stabbing. When police arrived, they found a 42-year-old man with stab wounds. Officers and medical personnel provided treatment to the victim on scene but the man died from his injuries. The suspect fled the area prior to first responders arriving on scene.
