Wisconsin River Muskies to hold open football tryouts

WESTON – An adult amateur football team based in Marathon County will hold four open tryout dates in advance of the team’s 2025 season.

Tryouts for the Wisconsin River Muskies will be held on Aug. 10, 17, 24 and 31 at Kennedy Park, 6002 Alderson St. in Weston. Registration is at 10 a.m. with on-field drills commencing at 11 a.m.

Prospects will be tested in a battery of physical drills, including the broad jump, 40-yard dash, 5-10-5 pro shuttle, 3-cone drill and 300-yard shuttle. All running events will be tracked with a laser timing system. A tryout fee of $10 is due at registration.

Interested athletes are strongly encouraged to wear cleats and weather-appropriate apparel for testing. No prior experience is required, but all prospects must be 18+ years of age to participate.
