Joe Bryant, the father of NBA Hall of Famer, Kobe Bryant, has died. He was 69 years old. New Castle County Governor’s Task Force Arrest Man for Drug Charges at Wilmington Motel
Delaware State Police arrested 65-year-old Lary Watson of Wilmington, Delaware, for drug charges following a search warrant at a motel in Wilmington on Thursday. On July 11, 2024, at approximately 8:15 p.m., members of the New Castle County Governor’s Task Force executed a search warrant at the Fairview Inn, located at 1051 S. Market Street, Wilmington. The search warrant was obtained following a drug investigation of Larry Watson, who was suspected of the large-scale distribution of narcotics from a room in the motel. Watson taken into custody without incident during the execution of the search warrant.

The man convicted of killing a Temple University student during a robbery back in 2021 will spend decades behind bars.Latif Williams, 19, was convicted of third-degree murder back in February in the death of 21-year-old Samuel Collington of Prospect Park, Pa.He was sentenced on Tuesday to 25 - 50 years in prison.Police say Collington was shot and killed while returning to the North Philadelphia campus after spending Thanksgiving break with his family.He was set to graduate the following spring.Authorities said he was unloading his SUV near the 2200 block of N. Park Avenue when Williams snuck up on him and a struggle ensued.Collington was shot in the chest and back. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he died of his injuries.
