    Cash, cigarettes reportedly taken from CT convenience store in overnight burglary

    Wethersfield police are investigating after several items were reported stolen from a convenience store during an overnight burglary, officials said .

    Police responded to Wolcott Hill Mart at 72 Wolcott Hill Road just before 5 a.m. on Saturday. An employee called police after noticing a front window was smashed and that it appeared the building was entered overnight. Upon arrival, police discovered that multiple items, including cash and cigarettes, were taken from the business.

    After reviewing video surveillance, police said that the burglary occurred around 3:30 a.m.

    The case remains under investigation.

    The Wethersfield Police Department is asking for anyone with information to call Detective Robert Malinowski at 860-721-2966.
