    Odessa-Montour signs two to the next level

    ODESSA, N.Y. (WETM) – Two standout athletes at Odessa-Montour High School are going to the collegiate level for athletics.

    Wednesday, O-M’s Gina Gavich signed to play college basketball at Elmira College next season while Brad Gillis will head to Alfred University. Both signed at the O-M High School cafeteria in front of family, friends and teammates.

    Gavich will compete for playing time for Elmira College who made the Empire 8 Tournament this past season under head coach Thad Phillips. Gavich was named an Honorable Mention All-Star by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York (BCANY).

    Gillis joins the Saxons football program as a running back and outside linebacker while player for the Schuyler Storm. Brad joins the Saxons football team who finished (4-6) last season. Below, photos from the signing event from Wednesday night.
