Elmira sports bar holding fundraiser for Investigator Theetge

ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – A sports bar in Elmira will be hosting a benefit with all proceeds going to Chemung County Investigator Michael Theetge and his family.

Roundin’ Third, which is located at 255 W. Water St. in Elmira, will be holding the event on May 5 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone who wants to attend can pay $10 at the door or ahead of time.

The $10 donation includes food, and there will be a cash bar available as well. There will also be 50/50 raffles with various prizes.

Theetge suffered a serious head injury while he was pursuing a shoplifting suspect in Big Flats on March 29. After he was injured, Theetge was taken to Guthrie Corning Hospital before being airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. He was transferred to a rehab center in Rochester on April 10 .
