Clean-up day coming for Van Etten residents this weekend

VAN ETTEN, N.Y. ( WETM ) – The Town of Van Etten has announced that it will be hosting a clean-up day for its residents this weekend.

The clean-up will be on Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Van Etten Highway Department located at 3 Hickory Grove Road. The event is open to Van Etten residents only.

Those who choose to participate in the clean-up must bring proof of residency with them. Only one pickup truck load or 8′ X 10 trailer is allowed per household. Tires will be accepted at $4 per tire, cash only.

Residents should keep in mind that the following items will not be accepted for cleanup, wet paints or oils, Freon, computers, TVs, large electronics, hazardous/toxic waste or bagged household garbage.
