Hammondsport Festival of Crafts is almost here

HAMMONDSPORT, N.Y. ( WETM ) — It’s almost time for Hammondsport to be filled with crafts made by local artisans.

The Hammondsport Festival of Crafts is returning for its 34th year on Friday, Aug. 17, and Saturday, Aug. 18. Visitors will be able to shop from vendors selling hand-crafted jewelry, furniture, decorations, art, and more from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.

This festival will be held in Pulteney Square, which is located at 26 Mechanic St., and visitors won’t have to worry about finding parking in the village. Free parking is available at the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum , located at 8419 state Route 54, and Pleasant Valley Wine Company , located at 8260 Pleasant Valley Road. Shuttles will take people to the festival and back to the parking lots.

The Hammonsport Chamber of Commerce is putting on the festival and recommends that people visiting the area for the event check out the local museums, wineries, breweries, distilleries, shops, and restaurants while in town.
