ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) — The Most Holy Name of Jesus’ Parish Festival is back for another year of live music, basket raffles, homemade food and so much more.

Happening on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 25, from noon to 5 p.m., the Parish Festival is a community fundraiser selling homemade goods and foods to support the church.

Elmira Fest returns to Grove Park this weekend

According to a flyer, several events are scheduled for the community to enjoy from groups like Blue Eyed Soul on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Sunday there will be entertainment from Deadon Al Pacete from noon to 2 p.m., Irish Dancers from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., and music from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

For food options, members are already hard at work making 1600 homemade meatballs and hundreds of pierogis to sell on top of desserts at the bake sale.

The Parish Festival is returning for a second year after COVID halted the festival for several years.

The festival can be found at St. Casimir’s Pavilion behind the Faith Formation Center at 1010 Davis St. in Elmira. The event will be moved inside if there is bad weather in the forecast.
