Hope you like sunshine, Twin Tiers!

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – We have high pressure moving in tomorrow, so we will see a gradual shift in our conditions from mostly rainy to mostly sunny over the next few days.

We need to dump any standing water around the area (hint-hint). Dumping the water helps control the mosquito population, thus preventing mosquito-borne diseases – and pesky bites.

Once that high pressure sets in we are going to get those temperatures back to near or above normal and overall a nice next seven days are setting up across the Twin Tiers. The next chance of rain will be Sunday evening or into Monday. There are still a few unresolved model solutions that are moving the chances of rain around and we will have to pinpoint that as those days come closer next week and luckily that is still several days away.

Tonight, a few leftover showers and in the upper-40s and then gradual sunshine moves in and clearing by the evening a high in the upper-60s.
