MMA fighter Jayson Hackett to compete for title

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – A local MMA fighter has the chance to become a title winner in September.

Campbell native Jayson Hackett will fight in Cage Wars MMA 67 against Lightweight Champion Kenny Correa. The fight will take place on Friday, September 13 at Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady. Hackett was a late addition due to an injury to the previous challenger for the title.

Hackett, a former wrestler at Corning High School for the Hawks, has racked up a (3-1) professional record. Correa, who looks to defend his crown, heads into the fight with a record of (5-2).
