Former Ted Clark’s Busy Market now sold

WAVERLY, N.Y. ( WETM ) — The former Ted Clark’s Busy Market sold after about four months on the market.

Associate Real Estate Broker David Huckle of Pyramid Brokerage Company announced on Friday evening that the former family-run grocery store is off the market. The buyer purchased the 12,100-square-foot property, which is located at 118 Broad St. in Waverly, and four adjacent parcels for a total of about 1.54 acres.

Ted Clark’s Busy Market closed on Feb. 27 following a Feb. 1 Facebook announcement that stated the store would be going out of business at the end of the month. Ted Clark’s was in business for 92 years.

The former market went for sale through Pyramid Brokerage Company at the end of April. The property was listed for $1,950,000 and is zoned for commercial use.

Huckle did not announce the property’s buyer and said that the buyer will announce their plans for the property in the coming months.

Always sad, I mean always because it's a family business, generation after generations and finally someone moves out of town or family doesn't want to continue for various reasons, I always liked to see family businesses continue and continue..
