Elmira church holds community picnic

ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) — The Faith Temple Community Church gives back to the community at its annual community picnic. The event was open for anybody to attend and members of the church prepared a free lunch for attendees.

An abundance of clothing was donated by neighbors, fellow congregates, and local businesses of Elmira for the church to give away. Pastor Kale Mann of the church says he hopes that these acts will inspire the community to foster unity and care among each other

“We just are excited to do this every time and we just hope that the seeds that we are planting here that folks will take away they feel some love and be able to strengthen them whatever they’re going through, and their homes and their families that they feel strengthened by their brothers and their sisters,” said Pastor Mann.

The church is scheduling another clothing giveaway for September 28 at the outreach building. It will include furniture, kitchen supplies, and a food pantry.
