    One man arrested in connection to Friday shooting in Ithaca

    ITHACA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – One man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that occurred on Friday afternoon in Ithaca.

    According to the Ithaca Police Department, Tarrant Sheppard, 40, of Ithaca, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 30, on the charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class C felony) and attempted assault in the first degree (class D felony) after an investigation into a shooting that occurred earlier that same day and injured one person.

    Police say that Sheppard was arraigned by a City of Ithaca judge and returned to the Tompkins County Jail on Aug. 31, where he is being held without bail.
