    Hometown Science Festival comes to Wellsboro this weekend

    Update (9/6): The Hometown Science Festival has been moved to Sunday, Sept. 8, due to weather. The event will now take place at Packer Park.


    WELLSBORO, Pa. ( WETM ) – If you and your family are interested in science, there’s an event coming up this weekend in Wellsboro that might be for you.

    The Hometown Science Festival is coming to the Green on Main Street on Saturday, Sept. 7, from noon to 4 p.m. for a day full of science and fun. The event is free and open to the public.

    Flood Aid Concert raises over $5K for Tioga County, PA flood victims

    Throughout the day, community members are invited to celebrate science in the area as researchers, natural resource managers, citizen scientists, professors, teachers, students and more gather to enjoy hands-on science activities and demonstrations with children and families.

    Animal Care Sanctuary hosting fundraiser tournament & auction to benefit shelter

    In the case of rain, the event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 8, at Packer Park. A decision on whether the event will be moved will be made on Friday, Sept. 6.
