Weekend Outlook: Sunshine and rain

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – High pressure remains in control through Friday keeping conditions mild and dry here in the Twin Tiers. However, rain showers and cooler temperatures return to the region Saturday as a front moves through. But for the second half of the weekend we then have mostly quiet conditions to follow through the region.

Once the front swings by the weather we have been lucky to have this week will come back. We are in for another round of several days of absolutely wonderful weather for the second week of September. A strong area of high pressure eases back in and we will get to experience sunny skies and dry conditions again.

Clear skies and calm winds bring another night of valley fog but it burns off quickly and the sun is back for Friday. Highs in the low-80s, followed by rain Saturday and in the 60s.
