    Street paving coming up in Painted Post, Riverside

    PAINTED POST, N.Y. ( WETM ) — Roadwork is scheduled to take place in Painted Post and Riverside this upcoming week.

    According to the Painted Post Department of Public Works, milling and paving will take place in the villages of Painted Post and Riverside between Sept. 9 and Sept. 13, weather permitting. The project will be done in three phases: Milling will be done on Monday and Tuesday; utility repairs, adjustments, and cleaning will be done from Monday through Wednesday; and paving will take place on Thursday and Friday.

    The following roadways will be resurfaced during this project:

    • Imperial Avenue from East High Street (Route 415) to Norwood Street (Painted Post)
    • Delaware Avenue from East High Street (Route 415) to Norwood Street (Painted Post)
    • Platt Street from North Hamilton Street to Delaware Avenue (Painted Post)
    • Jerome Street from East High Street (Route 415) to Brewster Street (Painted Post)
    • Brewster Street from Fenderson Street to John Street (Riverside)
    • Dennison Street from John Street to the dead end (Riverside)
    • Remington Boulevard from Buffalo Street to Townsend Avenue (Riverside
    • Hart Street from East High Street (Route 415) to Brewster Street (Riverside)
    • Stanton Street from Brewster Street to Village Line (Riverside)

    Residents may encounter temporary road closures, lane restrictions, detours, and travel delays when driving through these areas during the paving project. Any parking lots off of these roadways will be closed overnight and during business hours until paving is completed.
