Power outages reported in Corning on Sunday

CORNING, N.Y. ( WETM ) — More than 200 NYSEG customers in the Corning area reportedly lost power on Sunday afternoon.

According to NYSEG’s outage map, a total of 233 customers in the Town of Corning and the Village of South Corning were without power at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 8. NYSEG did not give a cause for the outage, and the map said a crew was investigating the cause.

NYSEG estimates that power will be back in the area at about 5 p.m. However, estimated restoration times are subject to change.
