    Heritage Festival returns to Corning next weekend

    CORNING, N.Y. ( WETM ) – The Corning-Painted Post Historical Society’s Heritage Festival is returning to Corning next weekend for its 46th year.

    The festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Heritage Village of the Southern Finger Lakes on 73 W Pulteney St. The event is free for kids and $5 for adults.

    Corning Salvation Army celebrates 140 years

    Throughout the afternoon, those who attend will have the opportunity to explore demonstrations of traditional skills from the colonial period to the nineteenth century by artisans and craftspeople. A variety of festivities will also take place throughout the day.

    Attendees may enjoy food, homemade treats and hand-crafted gifts for sale. There will also be live music and activities such as a cornhole tournament, historic building tours, raffles and more.
