    Blood drives coming to the Southern Tier in September

    SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. ( WETM ) – The American Red Cross is hosting more blood drives in the Southern Tier this September.

    According to the Red Cross, donors of all types are encouraged to donate to keep blood supplies rising after a shortage over the summer. Type O blood and platelet donors are especially needed at this time. To schedule an appointment to donate, visit redcrossblood.org , call 1-800-REDCROSS or download the Blood Donor app .

    Woodlawn Cemetry ‘Ghost Walk’ tickets now on sale

    Those who come to donate from now until Sept. 15 will receive a Red Cross raglan t-shirt while supplies last. Additionally, all who donate from Sept. 16 through Sept. 30 will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice.
