CCE to host Community Volunteer Fair in Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chemung County is hosting a Community Volunteer Fair to showcase the different volunteer opportunities available for adults in the area.

The fair will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Meals on Wheels.

For the duration of the fair, attendees will visit with organizations in Chemung County to explore open volunteer opportunities that are available to adults of all ages and abilities. Refreshments will be provided.

Community organizations that will host a table at the event include Chemung County Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Chemung County Department of Aging and Long Term Care, Community Dispute Resolution Center, Alzheimer’s Association, Faith in Action STNY, Arctic League and more.
