Southeast Steuben County Library to host fall book sale

CORNING, N.Y. ( WETM ) – The Southeast Steuben County Library is returning with its week-long fall book sale fundraiser, which will begin next weekend.

The book sale will take place from Saturday, Sept. 21, through Saturday, Sept. 28, at the USW Local 1000 Union Hall at 100 Nasser Civic Center in Corning. The book sale is the library’s main fundraiser, which occurs biannually each spring and fall.

The first day of the book sale is for Friends of the Southeast Steuben County Library members only. If you’re interested in checking out the sale early, you can become a member or renew your membership at the door of the sale.

On the last day of the book sale, those who show up to shop will be able to fill up a box or a bag for a set price. Cash and checks are the only forms of payment that will be accepted at the sale.

The book sale will officially open to the public on Sunday, Sept. 22, and will run from noon to 5 p.m. Then, the sale will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the final day on Saturday.
