WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. ( WETM ) — Watkins Glen International raised money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation by giving pace car rides. More than a hundred tickets were sold out for people to ride a few laps at the Glen in one of the pace cars driven by trained Watkins Glen International staffers.

One of the attendees Doug Walker who came up with his family from Pennsylvania said he wanted to give his sons a chance to ride at the track.

“We obviously get two wins in one night, donating money, and you get a chance to ride that track,” said Walker.

“I’ve driven the track multiple times in my own car, so it’ll be nice for them to drive me around at a little faster rate of speed,” added Bob DiMilla.
