Two injured after shooting under Allen-Berry Bridge in Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) — Two people were taken to the hospital on Wednesday after police said a shooting took place under the Allen-Berry Bridge.

According to Elmira Police, two people were found with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds under the south end of the bridge on Wednesday, Sept. 11, around 5:18 p.m. Police said the victims were taken to local hospitals by ambulance for treatment.

Police said that both individuals knew each other and it wasn’t a random shooting. No other information is being released at this time, but if you have information on the incident you’re asked to contact the EPD at 607-737-5626 or 607-877-HALT.
