At around 7 p.m. that evening, Pennsylvania State Police reported stopping behind Andrews at a red light in Dushore, Pennsylvania, where nothing abnormal was noticed. Then, over the next 45 minutes, police say they witnessed several suspicious acts involving Andrews’ vehicle.

Andrews was seen driving 10 to 15 miles under the speed limit and parking at a business that was closed for 20 minutes. Andrews then changed direction on Route 220, which was when police began to follow him and saw him swerving over the fog line and following vehicles too closely.

After crossing the double yellow line twice, police initiated a traffic stop on Andrews’ vehicle to which he was slow to respond. Once he was pulled over, Andrews admitted to smoking crack cocaine before driving and throwing the pipe he used to smoke out the window at some point that evening. He then submitted a blood test which confirmed there was cocaine in his system.

This incident was Andrews’ first offense, lending him the least amount of penalties according to Pennsylvania State law.
