SAYRE, Pa. ( WETM ) — A Sayre man was sentenced to more than a year behind bars after being convicted of a crime from a police chase in the valley in 2023.

According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, 47-year-old Travis Lattimer was sentenced to 15 months to a maximum of four years in a state correctional institution after being convicted of attempting to elude a police officer, a felony in the third degree.

Court documents said that in April 2023, Lattimer fled from police on a Yamaha motorcycle on Keystone Avenue in Sayre Borough. Police chased after Lattimer into Waverly, where documents said he crashed and had to be taken to Robert Packer Hospital for treatment.

Documents said that the sentence also includes a conviction for evading arrest or detention on foot after he was pulled over in Sayre in October 2023. However, he left the vehicle and went across Milltown Creek with his dog before being arrested.
