Wow! It is a shame that such a young kid died, but how do we get kids to understand that driving rules are there for a reason — especially MALE young people?! “No passing zones” are there for a reason and are measured out using mathematical equations with distance, speed limits, topography, and such — probably things many kids (and adults) couldn’t figure out. God bless his soul and his family that will be left to grieve his poor choices. I also feel very badly for the 73 year old woman who lost her car as a result of this horrible decision! Fortunately she survived, unlike the 70-something woman in Broome County who was killed by some foolish 18 year old male kid flying down the road in his BMW his family gave him for graduation and he lost control and slammed in to her at over 90 MPH in early summer! I felt very bad for the woman’s family as the kid’s parents hosted a number of events to “celebrate their brilliant son” since he missed his graduation! Bad choices/Bad taste!
