One arrested after shooting under Allen-Berry Bridge in Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – One man has been arrested in connection to the shooting that occurred on Wednesday under the Allen-Berry Bridge in Elmira.

According to the Elmira Police Department, Tyjai Vansickle, 25, of Elmira, was arrested after an investigation into the shooting of two people under the south end of the bridge on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Vansickle was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class C felony) and is expected to face more charges at a later date. He had his charge read to him in Elmira City Court and was returned to the Chemung County Jail.
