    Elmira man sentenced for fatal Qountry Tavern shooting

    ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – One of the men charged for the murder of Jeremy Shazer at an Elmira bar in January of 2023 has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

    According to the Chemung County District Attorney’s Office, Zemyuah Y. Graham, 28, was sentenced on Friday, Sept. 13, by County Court Judge Richard Rich. Graham will serve 20 years in state prison with five years post-release supervision for attempted murder in the second degree.

    Second man charged with murder for Qountry Tavern shooting

    Graham pleaded guilty to the charge on March 18, 2024, for his role in the shooting that occurred at the Qountry Tavern in Elmira on January 21, 2023. He was one of four men who were charged in connection to the shooting , and the second to be sentenced after ring-leader Shamel Swan .

    According to prior reports, Shazer, 34, was shot in his vehicle in the parking lot of the bar. He was then taken to Arnot Ogden Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

    no wonder we have children/ rats running around Elmira with guns. government cares more for profit less on safety. Execution of murders and pedophiles should be the only choice not profit for prison's

    the murder torture guy only got 12 years.. I guess if you torture the victim for a few days you get 8 years off your sentence.
