Two cars crash on Elmira’s Southside Sunday afternoon

ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) — Two vehicles were involved in a crash on Elmira’s Southside on Sunday afternoon.

The Elmira Police Department told an 18 News Reporter at the scene that two vehicles crashed at the intersection of South Main Street and West Miller Street at about 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 15. Police say a white Subaru sedan ran a red light and struck the driver’s side of a white Hyundai sedan.

The Hyundai sustained significant damage on the driver’s side, and most of the damage was located on the back door. All airbags in the car were deployed.

No one from either car was injured during the crash, according to the Elmira Police Department.

The Elmira Police Department and the Elmira Fire Department responded to the scene.
