    Horseheads boys soccer bests Corning, local scores

    HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WETM) – Horseheads boys soccer earned a big win over Corning.

    Horseheads boys soccer outlasted Corning 2-1 on Monday, in a battle of (3-1) teams. The Blue Raiders opened the scoring early in the 1st half, as Elijah Friend cleaned up a loose ball off of a set piece from Ben Church. Following the goal, scoring would cease until the 3:46 mark of the 2nd half.

    Dominic Hugg delivered the game sealing tally, before Seaver Nellis would bring the Hawks within a goal. Led by Horseheads keeper Gavin McInerney, the Blue Raiders held off the Hawks’ charge for the win.

    Ithaca 2 – Elmira 0
    Seton Catholic 10 – Waverly 0
    High School Girls Soccer:
    Watkins Glen 3 – Odessa-Montour 0
