    BENTON, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A Penn Yan woman is facing charges after a hit-and-run that left a one-year-old child dead.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Sarah E. Olsen, 26, was arrested on Sept. 20 after an investigation into a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in the Town of Benton the day before. Authorities say evidence collected at the scene and interviews identified Olsen as the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed a one-year-old boy on state Route 364 at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
