Maddie Ribble earns 18 Sports Athlete of the Week

HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WETM) – It’s time to reveal our next 18 Sports Athlete of The Week sponsored by Simmons-Rockwell Nissan.

Horseheads girls soccer’s Maddie Ribble has earned the 18 Sports Athlete of the Week, with a clutch goal on the pitch. Ribble delivered a game-winning overtime goal to lift the Blue Raiders past Maine-Endwell.

Fans voted on mytwintiers.com/sports to help decide the winner. All year long, during the academic sports school calendar, you can vote for the 18 Sports Athlete of The Week brought to you by Simmons-Rockwell Nissan.

– Cooper Shaw – 261 total yards and 2 touchdowns, in North Penn-Mansfield football’s win over Athens.
– Taylor Freelove – Scored 2 goals in Corning boys soccer’s win over Elmira.
– Sophia Haney – Became Tioga girls soccer’s all-time leading scorer in a win over Groton.
– M.K. Young – Scored a hat trick in Elmira Notre Dame girls soccer’s win over Spencer-Van Etten.
