One vehicle crash temporarily closes road in Breesport

BREESPORT, N.Y. ( WETM ) – A road in Breesport was temporarily closed on Tuesday afternoon after a one-vehicle crash involving a pole.

According to 511NY , both directions of East Franklin Street were closed on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 2:15 p.m. until around 2:50 p.m. after it was reported that a vehicle had hit a pole and that wires were down on the street.

According to an 18 News reporter at the scene, the car was seen off the road near some trees with heavy front-end damage and what seemed to be deployed airbags. Various police cars were at the scene blocking off traffic to the road at this time, as well as a tow truck.

The road has since been cleared and it is unknown if there were any injuries as a result.
