WAVERLY, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A Pennsylvania woman was recently sentenced to up to two years in prison followed by probation for several charges, one of which related to a stolen vehicle in Bradford County.

Amy L. Gusler, 41, formerly of Sayre, Pa. was sentenced to a minimum of four months to a maximum of 23 months for theft of unlawful taking, a felony in the third degree, a release from the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office said.

Documents said that Gusler stole a truck from a residence on South Elmer Avenue in Sayre before driving it into Waverly where he later crashed the vehicle.

Gusler will also see 12 months of probation after she was sentenced for the crime of hindering apprehension. The documents said Gusler allowed her boyfriend, who was the subject of a restraining order, to stay at her house and then lied to police when they were there to get him.

The documents made clear that the protection from abuse order was put in place for the protection of Gusler’s children. It’s noted that if Gusler fails to complete the terms of her probation or receives any new charges, the probation can be revoked and she can be sent back to prison.
