    Towanda woman sentenced for neglecting person under her care

    TOWANDA, Pa. ( WETM ) – A Towanda woman has been sentenced to serve time in a correctional facility after she failed to care for a care-dependent person that she was responsible for.

    As reported by the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, Tina M. Arbogast, 53, was sentenced to a minimum of four months to a maximum of 18 months in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for neglect of a care-dependent person.

    Arbogast was found guilty of not providing care to an immobile, nonverbal adult who was under her care. She neglected care for this person so much so that they had to be admitted to a hospital.

    Arbogast was found guilty of a similar offense in 2010 where she neglected two animals who were in her care.

    For this offense, she was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation to follow her period of parole and ordered to receive a mental health evaluation and drug and alcohol evaluation as part of her sentence. She was arrested for this offense by a Bradford County Humane Officer.
