ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – Dandy Mini Marts, Inc. has announced a new electric vehicle charging station at its location on County Route 64 in Elmira.

The new charging station comes through a partnership with Tesla Inc. to install Dandy’s first EV charging station, which was made available on Sept. 13., at 1055 County Route 64.

Harvest Weekend coming up at Eldridge Park

“We’re thrilled to bring electric vehicle charging to our Dandy locations,” said Dandy Vice President Dyson Williams. “As we continue to grow, we’re committed to innovating and providing convenience for everyone, whether they’re fueling up or charging up.”

The new charging station offers 12 EV charging pumps with adapters that are compatible with all electric vehicle charging ports. As reported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, this will be the only convenience store with an EV charging station within a 50-mile radius.

Well, back in April of this year! I leased a new 2024 Kia Niro Wind. Got it on Friday and returned it on Monday morning! Love the design and it ride nice for sure and was quiet. It was a 253 mile range EV and I will say the range sucks! Going up Harris Hill I lost 40 mile range in a 50 degree weather! Over the weekend we had to find a charging station and ended up in Corning to charge. What a joke that was to charge that EV 2.5 hours just to get 10 miles of range. Went back to William Kia and swap back to a new gas 2024 Kia GT-Line. I’m happy with this car! EV Infrastructure in this area sucks.
