    Waverly company holds Hurricane Helene donation drive

    WAVERLY, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A Waverly company is holding a drive to help people impacted by Hurricane Helene and needs your support.

    Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) is collecting supplies for the hurricane victims and will ship them to North Carolina on Oct. 12. Community members can bring non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies, water, and other essential items to ADS, located at 1 William Donnelly Parkway, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, and Friday, Oct. 11. People can also donate between 7 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12.

    Red Cross holds Southern Tier blood drives to help supply amid hurricanes

    Businesses around Waverly, including Waverly Pharmacy, Tom’s Hardware and Feed, and J and R Auto Repair of Waverly, are also collecting supplies through drop boxes.

    The following items are needed:

    • Flashlights
    • Batteries
    • Candles
    • Trashbags
    • Wet wipes
    • Rakes
    • Shovels
    • Tylenol/Acetaminophen
    • Advil/Ibuprofen
    • Band-Aids
    • Cleaning supplies
    • Pet food
    • Cat Litter
    • Water
    • Sports drinks
    • Toilet paper
    • Paper towels
    • Baby diapers
    • Non-perishable foods

    A truck full of all of the donated supplies will leave for Asheville, North Carolina, at noon on Saturday, Oct. 12.
