“Halloween Pop Market” this Sunday at American Legion in Elmira Heights

ELMIRA HEIGHTS, N.Y. (WETM) – A free “Halloween Pop Market” is set for this Sunday at the American Legion in Elmira Heights, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The American Legion is located at 236 Scottwood Ave. The annual event features comic book authors, artists, crafters, as well as food and pop culture vendors.

In a press release, organizer Jared Aiosa said the market will host artist Fred Harper from “The Toxic Avenger” comic series published by AHOY Comics, a publisher based in Syracuse. Aiosa says “The Toxic Avenger” franchise “includes four feature films, an animated cartoon series and an unreleased remake from Warner Brothers.”

Aiosa is also the owner of “ Heroes Comic Shop ” in Elmira Heights, located 130 West 14th Street.

At least 25 other authors, artists, vendors and organizations will also be there. They include Kaytlyn Brooke, Steve Ellis, Len Nicholas, Will Perkins, Ken Wheaton, Jamie Barrows, Craftworks by Gianna, Eggroll, Hellfire Thread Cult, Karate Chop Studios, Nathan J.A., Mason Nugent, Amber Skye Chainmaille, Barber Pole Hobbies, Big Nerd Coffee, Cookies by Miranda, The Game Shoppe, Green Dragon Comics, Heroes Comic Shop, Hotwire Collectibles, Kaylor’s Krypt, Nate’s Bricks Shop, Renegade Collectibles, Steele Memorial Library, and There & Back Again Toys.
