One arrested on weapon charges after search in Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – One person was arrested on Wednesday following the execution of a search warrant in Ithaca.

As reported by the Ithaca Police Department, Ruben Flowers, 45, of Ithaca, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 9, after a search warrant was executed on them concerning a pending criminal investigation.

Police say that during the execution of the search warrant, officers found and recovered a black Polymer 9mm Ghost Style handgun. After completion of the search, Flowers was arrested and charged with the following:

• Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a class C felony
• Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony
• Petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor

Flowers then had their charges read to them in the Ithaca City Court and was returned to the Tompkins County Jail.
