    Tanglewood to host Haunted Happenings

    ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A spooky event for the whole family is coming up at Tanglewood Nature Center.

    Haunted Happenings is returning to the nature center, located at 443 Coleman Ave. in Elmira, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. Community members of all ages are invited to this annual fall celebration that’ll be filled with seasonal games, crafts, food, and more.

    Guests are encouraged to get into the Halloween spirit by wearing costumes to this event. Admission to Haunted Happenings is free, but tickets are required for food and some activities. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $1 for one ticket, $10 for 12, or $20 for 25. People who sign up for Tanglewood’s Senior Family Membership or higher will get 20 free tickets.

    During this spooky event, guests of all ages can go on hayrides, paint pumpkins, make slime, and meet some of Tanglewood’s spookiest animals. Kids can also do free activities inside. Guests who get hungry during the event can purchase treats from the bake sale or vote on their favorite chili from the chili cook-off.

    Money raised during Haunted Happenings will support Tanglewood’s educational programs.

    Since when they start advertising candy 🍭🍬? Candy isn't good for children... I bet a lot of children today who have been diagnosed with ADHD ate a lot of sugar at one time or another...Give your children fruits and other snacks that have natural sugar in it .
